Update: August 1, 2020:

Amid all the regulations, suggestions, and information about COVID-19, we are still constantly making adjustments.  We are having modified in-person services.  We will continue to offer our drive-in service for a while for those with compromised immune systems and those who come into frequent contact with those who are at a higher risk.  We are looking forward to resuming our Food and Fellowship meetings in the near future. We will keep you updated on that! We do believe the Lord is glorified by His people when exercising good judgment.

  • Sunday Morning Worship: 10:00 A.M.
  • Sunday Evening Worship: 6:00 P.M.
  • Wednesday Evening Mid-Week Service: 6:30 P.M.

Sundays at 9:00 A.M.  If you don’t feel comfortable coming into the buildings yet, you are welcome to drive up and sit in your car for the sermon.  You will be able to see the preacher and our singers on the front porch.  Bring your Bible and prepare your heart to receive a message from the Lord.  Tune your car radio to 88.5 FM. Sit back and praise the Lord with us.

We have are transmitting both the drive-in and in-person services on Sunday mornings and the in-person service on Sunday evening. Regrettably, we cannot effectively transmit the Wednesday evening service due to the nature of the service. We are discussing our monthly Bible reading calendar each Wednesday which means multiple people take turns speaking and would not be heard through the microphone.  We do have plenty of room to spread out and you are more than welcome to wear a mask inside the building if you would like to attend.

If you ever want to hear a sermon again or missed one due to illness, we record our sermons and place them on Sermon Audio.  You can visit our “SERMONS” tab at the top of the page.  There is a link directly to our church’s uploads on Sermon Audio.  When available, we will continue to upload videos to our Facebook page.

Thank You for Adapting With Us:

We continue to carefully consider all information and recommendations released by the CDC, the Louisiana Governor’s Office as well as Department of Heath, and the Office of the President of the U.S.A. regarding CoVid-19 (SARS-CoV-2) aka the coronavirus.  We are still making these decisions on a day to day basis.  Your health is important to us!

Pray With Us:

We ask that you continue to pray for healing for all affected by this virus. Pray for the development of effective treatments. Pray for society as a whole to use common sense and common decency. Pray for our leaders at all levels of government to have clarity of mind, to make reasonable decisions, and to have pure motives as they make decisions.  Pray for churches who have been prohibited from worshipping together.  Pray for missionaries around the world as they are in uncharted territory just as we are here. Pray for missionaries on deputation as they experience cancellations. Pray for all missionaries as they have a great potential to lose a lot of necessary support at this time.  Most importantly, pray that God’s will be accomplished in our lives as we trust him through this storm.

Welcome to Oak Grove Baptist Church!

We are glad that you decided to visit us here.  A little about us… Oak Grove Baptist Church began as a diverse group of people gathering on Sundays under a shady grove of oak trees to hear the gospel and worship the Lord.  On July 27, 1924, sixteen charter members brought their letters and organized the church.  Today, we are still growing in grace and reaching out to the community.

Our service times below are our regular service times. We are currently following the modified services in the Updated Announcement above.

We invite you to join us for services.

Sunday School – 9:00 A.M.

Sunday Morning Worship Services – 10:00 A.M.

Sunday Evening Services – 6:00 P.M.

Sunday Evening Youth programs – 5:30 P.M.

Wednesday Evening Services: 6:30 P.M.

 A message from our pastor…

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Thank you for taking time to visit our website.  We at Oak Grove Baptist Church strive to be a place where you and your family feel loved, wanted, safe, and most of all, the presence and power of the living God.  It is our prayer that everyone who attends our church will be transformed by the Gospel of Christ; and will use his or her life to bring Him glory.  If you’re ever in our area, please drop in for a visit. His for the harvest, Pastor Derek Dantin
